As a writer - Some of my books have been published by traditional print publishers but I'm not likely to go that route again - too time consuming and it's just easier to do ebook publishing.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13163128507705064874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8315945691874053979.post-9386650955509991412011-08-14T14:55:20.836-04:002011-08-14T14:55:20.836-04:00I just did a complete book design for a client, in...I just did a complete book design for a client, including copyediting, typesetting the print layout and formatting the ebook. And y'know, we did the ebook before the print book, because it only took a couple of days to do the formatting and get it uploaded. It's only been in the Kindle store a little more than a week and has already gotten a review and a pretty good Amazon rank.

I'm just finishing up the typesetting for the print version now, which will have to be uploaded to the printer, then the proof will need to be checked before it can go live. And all the while the ebook is out there racking up sales.Catherine M. I know that some readers have the first two books in print and would like to complete the set, so no worries there.

Thanks for buying and reading my books! :)Sarah Ettritchhttp://www.sarahettritch.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8315945691874053979.post-88881779329717578932011-08-13T15:59:02.411-04:002011-08-13T15:59:02.411-04:00Kudos. Like you, I believe E-books are the future.

That does not make this transitional period any easier for the reader, but change from print to ecopy is inevitable.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8315945691874053979.post-46104115200638574612011-08-13T13:28:38.338-04:002011-08-13T13:28:38.338-04:00I am a avid reader and also prefer the printed wor...I am a avid reader and also prefer the printed word over e-book, but will purchase both. As I have done with Patty new book, that way I could read it early and then have it to read later in hard copy. As for you, Sarah, I have purchased both your printed books and now your e-books, but I hope you at least print the rest of the "Rymellan" series. I will read books again and again if they are good. I have a library of over 1500 books and I am running out of space but still like to have a book in my hands. My wife hates reading off a computer, so I have had to print a copy for her to read...LOL, but I will always read yours no matter how you decide to give it to me.Linn Baxterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08966497879301025740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8315945691874053979.post-49758123443266212212011-08-13T08:58:26.610-04:002011-08-13T08:58:26.610-04:00L.M.: I understand where you're coming from. I...L.M.: I understand where you're coming from. I've shifted over to eBook for non-fiction, but I still prefer print for fiction. However, I've decided to buy a Kindle soon, to use for fiction reading (right now, I read non-fiction Kindle books using Kindle for PC). Most of the time, the eBook version is cheaper than the print version. It's becoming more difficult for me to justify spending the extra dollars to buy print, especially since I only ever read books once.

Having said that, when it comes to making decisions about how to publish my books, I have to put my personal preferences aside and do what makes sense for the business.Sarah Ettritchhttp://www.sarahettritch.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8315945691874053979.post-87487715418347414182011-08-12T23:14:21.333-04:002011-08-12T23:14:21.333-04:00I will never choose an e"Book" when the ...I will never choose an e"Book" when the same book is available in print. I just won't. That said, I will also never ignore a good story just because it is only available in an electronic format; I just won't be able to enjoy the experience as much.

L.M.
